Haiti | How they played the earthquake story

Yesterday's 7.0 earthquake struck at 5 p.m. ET -- the same time in Haiti -- giving the New York Times Co.'s East Coast papers less time to understand the magnitude of the story. West Coast papers, such as the Press Democrat in California's Santa Rosa, had more time to develop bigger packages. Here's the Press Democrat:
