Remember the teletype? Now, hear it again

I've just added a widget in the top rail, right, that includes an audio file of a clattering teletype machine. Look for The Teletype Room. When's the last time you heard one of those?

    Wow, that takes me back to my days as a copy boy back in the late 60's-early 70's, when I had to rip copy from the wire machines.

    I only remember them from the 1960s, when my mother worked for The Providence (R.I.) Journal. They also had vacuum tubes, to deliver copy to the composing room from the newsroom.
